Wery useful tool. If it is accurate and calibrated than wind meters with similar capabilities cost more than 200$. Super nice that you can save your measurement history - good to keep reference data!
@fearthefailure I just had a huge argument with my wife about rigging my kites in the park or not :D There was almost enought wind, I thought, but actually just spent an hour rigging my stuff to find out there was not enough. Will order one of these to keep it in my pocket.
I find it very useful to log data about wind conditions that you prefer and search for, once the web app is ready we'll see what usages crop up.
Will definetly recommend this to my kite-surfing friends.
@fearthefailure Wow, you really_dont_get_it. Let me dumb it down to your level - you're out storm chasing and you want a quick wind measurement. You have 150 lb pods in the back of your vehicle that can get readings, but you don't want to pull those out. So you pop this into your phone, and it gives you that quick reading. THIS SITUATION is what it's meant for. But that's okay, I couldn't possibly imagine someone with your supposed level of intelligence to understand that.
Great for wind sports like Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Sailing, Gliding. Also great for Golf, Aviation, Hunting, Shooting Sports and many more.
