I've used magnets in my kitchen for years to hold knives. Put it up high out of the way; you'll have no danger of people falling on it. Also, I have never had any issues with the knives attracting iron dust from sharpening and I keep 'em sharp. This are very useful and this one looks great and uses surface area and space wisely!
