It's an overpriced piece of crap. The cord will _always_ be unreeling due to its own inflexibility. Just try to reel it onto any object and you'll see how it's going up.

No, not a good idea. The life of electric cables is always reduced when the cords are bent or wrapped tightly around things as the little wires inside break easily. They should be left unwrapped to avoid things like "All my iTunes songs are grayed out and I can't figure out why"
