This is the best thing that has happened to me all day! Neighbors who live across the inlet from me destroyed a huge patch of Mangrove. Home to at lest 30 spices. I have not been able to sit outside for nearly 6 month. Hey, he was heavily fined and I continue to see to it that these fines are increased as much as possible, but now that I have a perfect view of the inside of his garage, instead of mangrove forest, and he a perfect view of my yard...I could not think what art would be appropriate and within the law...thanks so much. This is my new lawn furniture and he will have to look at it, (them) I am going to make many, everyday!
This chair is actually called STQTVM (Souviens toi que tu vas mourir). It shows the emblematic monobloc chair reinterpreted as an expression of vanity…This memento mori represented by a skull acts as a leitmotiv for those who seek the comfort of a chair and the ceremonial act of being seated. And its been designed by Pool, a young design studio based in Paris (Seb Kieffer and Léa Padovani). See it here : http://work.poolhouse.eu
