As far as i understand it blocks the front/rear wheel. Problem is bike won't be attached to anything, so the thief can lift it up and walk away with it.
this gives someone another excuse to steal from you. Except this time they'll be wanting to keep the lock as well. Anyone know the market price of of titanium nowadays?
this product is phenomenal! it's virtually indestructible and easy to tote around being as it fits on the uptube. i saw it on kickstarter 3 years ago and have been in love ever since.
The titanium ribbon is flexible enough that it can be put through the front and rear wheels, and around a post. Security wise, it's better than a cable or cheap U-lock, but not as good as a high security chain, or top notch U-lock. It seems impervious to bolt cutters, but cuts in seconds with an angle grinder, as apposed to a few minutes for better U-locks. If your local bike thieves tend to take low hanging fruit, such as quick release items, or only carry bolt cutters, then for lightness, portability, and looks the TiGr can't be beat. However, I thought this lock was $60, not $200.
