Sorry, these cars were awful. Constant problems with rust (East German steel) and strong safety issues. Giugiaro design is great, especially for its time, but the car build had to improve.

deal with it, im presently driving a similar age t25 and im lazy as hell, its just getting to the stage now that its needing some weldy love :p
Prob one of the best cars ever ! Mk1 gti in Lhasa green amazing , had an 84 gti convertible loved that car , people still ask if I still got it 10 yrs later
