Tbh you could have guessed that there would be no iPhone 5 launch...just look at the previous line up, 3, 3GS, 4...take a guess what comes next. Plus Apple never announce/launch the big product in the autumn they always do it early in the year for a summer launch so expect an iPhone 5 announcement in the 1st quarter of 2012.
@fuzz407 Totally agree with you. No point in changing a design that's near-perfect anyway. The thing has bluetooth 4.0, I'm gonna upgrade just to be future proof!
