as a concept for future development into a far more flexible surface i agree this is good. As a hand held device in this form... not good. i have certainly never though my iphone could do with feeling as flexible as a rubber sole.

Flexibility is used to allow users to zoom in and out. Replacing pinch and zoom.

Well, think about it for a minute. A flexible screen means that it can be applied anywhere easily. Scaled up, an entire presentation unit (replacing overhead projector, screen, and pc) rolled up in a little carrier.

I'm in total agreement with wearecolt - cannot see the point of this in a hand held device, and to be honest I think it would really annoy me if it kept bending...then again I wouldn't change my iPhone for anything!!

I think it's just showing what can be done. I dont think anyone is saying "this is it now". Much like the iPad. Completely useless, but I have one and I love it!
