yep cheap materials great idea by designer to make boatloads of money.. when we can obtain same materials and make it for ourselves..
Why not just get the Philips hue? It's cheaper, much cooler and you don't need a flux capacitor to get slides and negatives.

Use slides of your own photographs to create a mood that's unique to you - just slot your images into place for a constantly changeable look.
The Slide Light may be hung horizontally or vertically to provide low level background room lighting.
Creating your own slides:
To take slide photographs, simply use slide film in any normal camera. We recommend you use Kodak E100 VS for bright saturated colours.
For extra protection, ask for your slides to be mounted in glass mounts when your film is developed. We recommend Gepe 2mm width glass.
