Again, the 'Buy It' link or clicking the picture takes you to an online puppy store/mill! I just cant believe #thefancy would support such irresponsible behavior. This is the same kind of post / link that was found on a previous post about a pup.. ---> http://www.thefancy.com/things/278725127/Bulldog-Puppy
while the pic is to die for, the fact that the link directs you to a page to buy puppies online is #tasteless and #cruel. Hundreds of thousands of unwanted pups are euthanized every year, perhaps a link to find a local non-kill rescue shelter would be more responsible. When that bulldog puppy grows up, and is so strong willed and stubborn that its ill prepared owner decides its just too much to handle if its lucky, it'll have 2 wks at the local pound. Then death by needle. Think about that before you patronize another puppy shop. #adopt
@ispringate and @mariociaralli go and adobt a dog like I have. I see nothing wrong in putting a picture up of a dog. Take your issues elsewhere there is the plenty of RSPCA's. Go and vounteer maybe.
I have to agree the above posts that although it is a great shot and a wonderful dog it is being used to sell something that is un ethical I am one who in the past has got my dogs and cats from charities i also contribute regularly to these charities as a designer photographer I believe it is my responsibility how my creativity is used and to ensure its used ethically
@Lollies while I agree, nothing wrong with putting up great shots of cute pups for us to ohh and ahh at, my point was that it would take such little effort on the part of whomever is doing the linking, to point the link instead to something more worthy of our collective clicks / traffic. An online puppy mill or shop is hardly what I would consider socially responsible. And since you made it a point to point a finger.. I've loved each of the fostered dogs I've had come through my home on their way to forever homes AND I love my adopted pitbull / boxer mix Tula! We have spent the past +10 years giving our personal time, effort, love and money at various dog rescues in both Houston and now in Chicago... so yeah, thanks for the brilliant suggestion.
@designerphill totally agree... not too sure, had it been my shot, that I would feel great about it being used to drive traffic to an online puppy mill / store. Wonder how / if permission was asked / received or if the photo falls under creative commons et al
@mariociaralli, No one is condoning what you call, " a puppy mill" people are not stupid and can make their own minds up. It is just a picture so get over it and stop using this site as a platform for your nonsense. Go and find some other dog pictures on this site and express your concern to others.
What a joke, I fancied this and then saw that it was posted by puppy sellers. I should have known better. Support local rescue groups......never buy a dog!!!!
