Even though it's essentially a collectors item, one that will do very well on resale, what if it was used as a toy, why not give children inspiring figures to play with and try to emulate? is it better to give kids soldiers who kill, idealistic women to dress and look pretty!

I have no comment on the "appropriateness" of this - I think both sides will have their reasons for appreciating/hating it. I personally would rather interpret it in a positive context. That said, its really wrll made - uncanny even. I wouldn't be surprised if the Robot Chicken folks had commissioned this.
