@hastelok - The towers aren't open to the public, but on special occasions the Highway and Transportation District takes newscasters up to film spots and videos. 2012 is the 75th anniversary, so I've seen a lot of news segments in San Francisco about the bridge. If you know a bridge employee, sometimes they'll sneak you up, that's how my dad did it...
This is not the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, this photo was taken in Portugal, the name of the bridge is "Ponte 25 de Abril" at Lisbon! The photo was taken by my friend Pedro and you can confirm on this link - http://www.flickr.com/photos/pedromourapinheiro/6305317177/
@antchangas @j0rdy - When I looked closer, I see you are exactly right. This bridge has a center divider, used to help prevent head-on collisions. Unfortunately the Golden Gate Bridge has no barriers and uses only moveable cones...
@b0nni3 : thks for the detailed info and clarifications. Would love to visit the bridge sometime. @antchagas : You have a keen sense of observation! I admire the designs of various bridges. We have an assortment of bridges along the Singapore river and each has a uniquely different design!
James Bond & Zorin!
Great shot! Scary height!
Nice view!! Can anyone go up there OR was this shot taken by a maintenance engineer?
Foda!
Water looks like asphault

This isn't the golden gate bridge, because there are cros beams as you can see. The golden gate hasn't got cross beams.
