Personally, I never really got the concept of taxidermy but this is just amazing, I love the poses of the different animals, they are so realistic despite of the unrealistic situation.
When will people stop whining about "those poor animals"?!?! They are artificial! Made of fake fur, fake eyes, fake teeth, fake claws. Refined Oil, that's all they are.

@Giacio: as stated above those animals are not taxidermised real dogs/hounds/wolfes/whatever. They are rather an example for chinese craftmenship.

I saw it in NYC at Guggenheim in 2008 and was really amazing and powerful...
I know this is consider art but the person should be a shame to use this poor animals to make money!!! This makes me mad!!!!
