I'm at second iPhone (iPhone 4s by now), because I love the combination within the huge possibilities and the enormous (even if expensive) list of accessories.
And I have to admit when I first see the Galaxy Note I 've think it's a cool gizmo! But there are 2 problems: like every other Samsung or what else, it will never reach the appeal of an IPhone, and it is too big to be a phone, to be put in a pair of jeans
By far, from another galaxy! For me, it's enough the 'jeans' argument! It really shows how useful an iPhone is! Once on apple, forever on apple! How simpler could it be?!?
Seriously, a stylus? Its 2012 & Samsung seem to think that the next best thing is a throwback to the 90's. It's a gimmick & most people will simply lose it within a few days or simply leave it at home.
It's the default drawing program bundled into Samsung's Touchwiz Android bundle on this phone. What's amazing is the 5.3" screen which is huge but still fits in your pocket.
Iphone??? Iphone has weaker hardware and breaks easily (not because it's stylish, but because of CHEAP materials), not to mention the price which is significantly higher than that of more powerfull phones.
@jaxxman The stylus may be a gimmick but gimmicks exist because there are people who genuinely find them useful. Personally, I find the stylus great to use and miss a similar solution on tablets. However, I also feel that it would be silly using one on anything with a smaller screen. A stylus on an iPhone would be rubbish. While Jobs may speak an abstract truth, his word is not law.
@arunz Truth is, iPhones use older, slower processors, memory and screens than all of the top-end Android phones do. To see what it can do watch this:http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=1041cfb2620aa56c6b93008&skin_id=701&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url
Sorry @cheechUK but you're mistaken. I still have the first Android phone the G1 (4 years old) for fun and run Android's Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system on it. Better software, no limit to apps and a better experience. Oh yeah, and I have access to ALL websites since I have Adobe Flash unlike underpowered iPhones... This Samsung even has a dual core processor like my G2x.
@ILikeThat not being an iPhone isn't a problem at all, more like a virtue. It isn't intended to be an iPhone anyway as that would be short selling themselves. You iPhoners just envy the really big screen this has, so big you can draw on it. I had a whopping 3.5" screen with better resolution than any iPhone 4 years ago. Apple calls their screen a "retina display" to avoid publishing how inferior your pixel resolution is compared to the rest of us who are getting better performance, more features, choice and better prices. Apple never innovates a thing, they market brilliantly, but just buy technology by other people and say it was theirs to begin with like Siri.
@DGear on a side note, I never actually said I thought the iPhone was better. Do you sell these? Very dedicated to correcting people, phones are personal choice. Saying apple don't innovate is slightly ridiculous but okay. Think you need to step back and not feel the need put up a fight for it if it's so superior.
@ILikeThat No, I don't sell these, I was a programmer a few years back, so when the Open Handset Alliance was formed (which led to Android), I was involved and contributing towards the process. I stand behind my statement, Apple really doesn't innovate much, all they do is make things Fisher-Price-simple to use, then charge consumers exhorbitant amounts for it. Ex: they took a free digital audio format, MP3, then made consumers pay for them. Yet most consumers haven't heard of .ogg audio formats which will always be free and un-copyrighted, and Android supported. Consumers just normally buy-in to whatever they're spoon-fed which keeps them in the dark and is what manufacturers want.
@DGear the selling bit was a joke. I agree with the phone, little innovation happens now, but they have brought forms of technology to the mass market. As a company, they've won the game, end of. 9% of phones and 75% of profit. They are all out there to make a profit google will do the same with android. I don't have the expertise you have on the subject but I know how business works. Apple might become as bad as Microsoft and hold back the entire industry, but I hope not. Apple and google are already to big. Anyway, not trying to have an argument, just make a point. I get what you are saying, I admit much better phones out there depending on who you are. I like my iPhone more than any other phone out there, so I own one. I can't see a problem with that! Hope you don't either, but again you are right! Thanks!
Samsung would take over too much without Apple, they have fingers everywhere! Apple are now huge like Microsoft and keep Samsung on their toes now Sony, LG, etc... Have fallen to their dominance.
@ILikeThat They've won the game if you only limit the game to the US market. Globally, Android is on far more handsets and has far more market penetration. I actually like the iPhone, but I'm always surprised at how many people believe that its "the best phone", which is like saying "this is the best car". It ultimately depends on what you want, need and are willing to settle for....
@DGear but android has flooded market with phones, so naturally they should do, they are also cheaper.
Anyway,we should stop taking up comment space as we aren't going anywhere with this. Thanks for interesting points, wonder who'll last longer in terms of OS apple or google!
It is the simplicity what makes Apple products innovative. However everyone should use what they like. Tried Android for one and a half year, so; pretty extensive, but really can't like it. Love the snappiness of my iPhone and the way it works together with my Mac, iCloud and all the Airplay devices. That's why the iPhone is great for me. And.. C'mon A STYLUS? What the crap? Samsung and HTC devices look good but this seems a step back in time. The stylus was there to replace the finger and now you can use your fingertips accurately but you would want to go back to PDA style usage? Hell no. Btw everything above 4" for a screen is way to big for being a phone imo.
Yes I have one, the best phone on the planet..owned a iphone too, any one can use an iphone and that doesn't make it smartphone. The Galaxy Note is a intelligent phone, as with most android smartphones, the average Joe don't even know what the phone and apps can really do for them.. apple.. Apps sit there and collect dust.. Lol until you remember to use them...smh Samsung has been making phones way before apple... Knock off that...
No.
Love it
Seriously?
Oh no! the 90s are back
"If you see a stylus, you know they blew it" - Steve Jobs
No, never in this lifetime! And definitely not while iPhones are still alive!
I'm at second iPhone (iPhone 4s by now), because I love the combination within the huge possibilities and the enormous (even if expensive) list of accessories.

I have an iPhone 4, but I want this one more :(
Having owned Iphones, Sony ericssons, and everything in between, i have had this phone for 2 weeks now, and it's the best. Simply put.
Practical and fun
@jerone I use a stylus for my iPad all the time. They are fantastic if you want to draw anything ever.
That's what I want to do with my phone. Draw a fort. It's like something from the future.
By far, from another galaxy! For me, it's enough the 'jeans' argument! It really shows how useful an iPhone is! Once on apple, forever on apple! How simpler could it be?!?

Which program is that?
It's the default drawing program bundled into Samsung's Touchwiz Android bundle on this phone. What's amazing is the 5.3" screen which is huge but still fits in your pocket.
i dont know! i have a blackberry. but this is amazing!!!
Iphone??? Iphone has weaker hardware and breaks easily (not because it's stylish, but because of CHEAP materials), not to mention the price which is significantly higher than that of more powerfull phones.
@DGear Me gusta ^ ^
LOVE IT!! GREAT PHONE, those who don't like it...have never use it!

Cheap plastic phones... iPhone rip-offs...

True but even my old 3GS can still use the latest iOS and most apps well, I doubt samsung ones would.

I may change if the next iphone isn't much better. Just paid so much on apple apps etc. . .
Think it's main problem is obvious... It just isn't an iPhone. No matter what you think of iPhones.
I hope apple increase the screen size and add 720 HD resolution, but samsung does seem to be the new sony with innovation!
This is the most stupid phone I have ever seen
I gave my iPhone 4 to my 12 year old nephew, that damn thing is like carrying a rectangular rock...I love this phone!

@DGear thank you for proving my point :)

let's party like it's 1999.

I like that phone! the next phone I get is that note... but for now I will hold on to my galaxy s2..
Samsung would take over too much without Apple, they have fingers everywhere! Apple are now huge like Microsoft and keep Samsung on their toes now Sony, LG, etc... Have fallen to their dominance.

Awful phone, it's massive! Who would want that bulging in their pocket
@DGear but android has flooded market with phones, so naturally they should do, they are also cheaper. Anyway,we should stop taking up comment space as we aren't going anywhere with this. Thanks for interesting points, wonder who'll last longer in terms of OS apple or google!
@DGear congratulations on featured by the way :) thanks again!
LOL !

It's a knock-off - just like Pepsi.
Pepsi.
No offence but I doubt someone could draw this castle with fingers...
Yeeeeah-no!
Mmilena: challenge accepted!
@jerone It's not just stylus input, that would be foolish. You can use your fingers too just like any other capacitive touch screen.
No thanks.
O rly?..
Android, welcome to a world of wasting hours of your life looking for an app that's works
Ugly, ugly, ugly...
This is so horrible :/
wanna be iPhone
Retina display. Lolololo
your iPhone got flash??? nah? still? didn't think so. suck it
i love this phone !
stylus is optional folks. but the size I don't like. sticking with my galaxy s 2. until the 3 is released.
