@Zambarow what colours would you have a house be? Yellow and Purple dots perhaps? Maybe a nice festive green with red trimming? Drab colours are not just traditional for houses, but almost universal; even the brightest colours on houses that aren't considered "odd" are pastel yellows and brown, earthy reds.
