Love air new Zealand: fly LHR to LAX with them fairly regularly. In this setup you pay a bit extra for the 3rd seat, and a pad folds up from behind your legs to make the extra width so you can both lie down.
I've looked into this. A) it's for real and b)it's not massively more expensive. Finally I can see a way of getting my family to Oz and me staying sane.
