Cyclists need lighting they can depend on, and the Gotham Theft Proof Bike Light is there when it’s needed -- through rain, sleet and darkened skies.
Bike lights are crucial for safe cycling, so drivers can see bicyclists and cyclists can see their darkened surroundings. The trouble is, many bikers have their lights stolen or forget their lights at home. After a friend was hit by a car while biking without a light (it had been stolen), Slava Menn set out to solve the problem.
The MIT grad devised a bike light that’s durable enough to stay mounted on the handlebars through all kinds of weather, and secure enough to thwart would-be thieves.
His theft-resistant invention, called the Gotham Defender, can only be attached and detached with a special screwdriver that comes with the light, so a thief with an ordinary screwdriver is going to get nowhere.
The Defender is made of aluminum, it’s designed to handle being submerged in a foot of water, and it runs on three AA batteries that power six bright LEDs (steady or flashing mode).

correct should have put counter bore to be theft resistant. though I absolutely love the design
