Established in 2007 by Thomas Bullimore and Claire Milton, Buhr was born from the shared and venerable desire to create original handmade furniture. Their complimentary skills of carpentry and textile art together with their general gusto and conceptual imagination combine to produce pieces of simple beauty and rare originality – surely the ingredients for the important collectibles of the future.
This elegant dressing table and bench are built from solid European walnut. The table encases a stunning circular bevelled mirror, the back of which is veiled with a hand printed natural linen fabric and secured with intricate hand made brass fittings.
The lustrous finish of the table’s surface is created using a high gloss lacquer with inlaid polished brass edging. Suspended beneath the table are two rotating pockets, each pivoting from a hand engineered brass mechanism and lined with hand printed natural linen fabric.
The traditionally upholstered bench in Milano Ivory leather with its suede buttoning and angulated shapes nestles beneath, echoing the form of the table.
