From the city filled with people not playing with a full deck comes a full deck of Metrodeck Playing Cards.
They are not just cards- they are 52 pieces of art.
Here's the back story:
Printed on found and repurposed New York City subway fare cards, Metrodeck visually captures the common thread between commuters, public transportation, and chance.
Every card has been gathered at random, after having been purchased, used, and discarded either by a visitor or resident of New York City. Some have been signed or otherwise marked, making each card unique with its own narrative potential.
The face cards are inspired by landmarks across the five boroughs of New York City, referencing the tremendous reach of the subway system.
Hand silk-screened by the designer in his studio in Brooklyn on found MTA MetroCards. Each deck is a numbered limited edition.
Due to nature of the cards, these are not recommended for play.

I really really love these. It captures New York so well. Unfortunately like everything else in my beloved city, it's grossly over priced.
Wow! These hand-printed cards are a real work of art, I can't imagine how long it must have taken to collect them, what a cool project.
